The 4th STEP Europe conference took place on 27-28 June 2019 and was hosted by STEP Cyprus attracting almost 150 delegates from 28 countries.

The conference’s agenda comprised of a comprehensive two-day programme covering a range of topics on both local and international issues. An international panel of speakers, including academics, politicians, private practitioners and people from the business community, shared their views on hot and cross border topics such as family governance and succession, family mobility, beneficial ownership registers  and taxation of executives, employees, shareholders and private equity managers in relation to remuneration schemes.

Keynote speaker was Harris Georgiades, Cyprus Minister of Finance. Peter G. Economides, Founder of STEP Cyprus was among the speakers.

The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) was founded in 1991 and today is the leading worldwide professional body for practitioners in the fields of trusts, estates and related issues. STEP has 21.000 members in 95 countries, including Cyprus where the branch was set up in 2003.
