As of 13th January 2014, the standard rate of VAT in Cyprus will increase from 18% to 19% and the reduced VAT rate from 8% to 9%. The reduced rates of 0% and 5% remain unchanged.
Even after this increase, the Cyprus VAT rate remains one of the lowest in Europe.
