George Economides, Vice Chairman at Totalserve Management Ltd, was among the speakers at the high-level forum “Private Clients in the Changing World: Where East Meets West”, held on 10 April 2025 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol. The event was organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and brought together international experts and industry leaders.

As part of a panel discussion, Mr. Economides addressed key aspects of Cyprus’ tax residency framework and non-domicile regime, providing clarity on the 183-day and 60-day rules and the tax advantages available to individuals qualifying as non-doms. These include exemptions from tax on passive income, most capital gains, and inheritance or wealth taxes, factors that continue to make Cyprus an attractive option for international individuals and families seeking effective wealth structuring.

The forum explored broader themes impacting private clients, including international relocations, compliance trends, political uncertainty, and regulatory shifts, highlighting Cyprus’ role in the evolving landscape of private wealth management.
