Deadline for acquiring Cyprus property without future capital gains tax is fast approaching
Cyprus based real estate properties bought before 31 December 2016 (key date being the official submission of the relevant purchase agreement) will not be subject to the 20% Capital Gains Tax on future sale of this property. This incentive is not expected to be renewed by the government, and as such those planning to acquire a Cyprus property are prompted to do so before the year end.
Tα κίνητρα που έχουν δοθεί μέχρι 31/12/2016 για Μη Πληρωμή 20% Φόρου Κεφαλαιουχικών Κερδών (capital gains tax) σε μελλοντική πώληση Κυπριακού ακινήτου τερματίζονται οριστικά στις 31/12/2016, καθώς η κυβέρνηση φαίνεται να μην είναι διατεθειμένη να τα ανανεώσει. Εάν προτίθεστε να προβείτε στην αγορά οποιουδήποτε ακινήτου, για να μπορέσετε να επωφεληθείτε αυτού του κινήτρου, θα πρέπει καταθέσετε το πωλητήριο έγγραφο μέχρι τις 31/12/2016.
