The Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection has announced on 13/07/2020, that investigations are to be initiated and conducted in the form of data protection audits.
Such audits will be conducted to assess the compliance level of companies with GDPR laws, to examine the practices and procedures adopted by the companies as well as to keep records of the procedures that are applied by the companies.
These audits are part of the general framework of compliance requirements on specific GDPR matters and are targeted on small and medium companies in Cyprus.
Upon completion, such results will provide a clear picture of the level of compliance of such companies with the GDPR and shall be announced to the public.
